H2O
  1. Are inflatable water slides and bouncers safe?  Absolutely.  As long as all the rules outlined on the safety operating procedures page of your rental agreement contract are followed and riders are supervised at all times.  While no one can guarantee safety, we do everything we can to promote safe use of our products and to ensure your day is filled with fun, not hospital visits.
  2. What are the appropriate ages for the water slides? Ages 4- 16.  Call or email for more information.
  3. Can we rent a water slide and a bouncer at the same time?  Yes.  Please keep in mind that a wet or damp rider is not allowed in the bouncer.  You may consider bouncing before riding the slide.  A customer will normally rent a bouncer for the toddler's or children who prefers to stay dry.
  4. Do you monitor riders on your water slides?  Definitely.  Entry to our slides are closely monitored by our safety attendants.  Open access to the slide is not allowed, no waiting in-line on the slide stairs, no more than one slider per lane, no one is allowed to stay & play in the pool while riders are sliding.
  5. Who's responsible to supervise the riders?  Although attendants are present to monitor the safety entry/exit to our inflatable unit, a parent, a class teacher, a group leader or a responsible adult appointed by the lessee is responsible to monitor the children waiting in-line.  Kindly keep in mind, our attendants are not personal babysitters.
  6. Are you insured to service county and state park facilities?  Yes.  Our coverage meets the requirements of the state and county to service on their facilities.
  7. Are water slides allowed at all parks?  No.  Wailoa State Park, Coconut Island, Leleiwi Beach Park, Richardson's Ocean Park, Bay Front, Liliuokalani Park, Lincoln Park and Onekahakaha Beach pavilions 1 & 2 prohibits waterslides altho bouncers or dry slides may be accepted.  Call County Parks & Recs. @ 961-8311 or State DLNR @ 974-6200 for further information.
  8. Where's the best place to setup a bouncer?  A relatively flat & clean grassy area, indoor halls or garage with high ceilings, paved asphalt or smooth concrete driveways.  Grounds should not have exposed rocks, debris or animal waste in close proximity to the chosen site.  No gravel or cinders and please check ground conditions BEFORE securing your reservations.
  9. How much room do you need to bring in a bouncer?  A standard walk thru gate is fine if truck access is unavailable.  Please note, we do not hand truck our units distant uphills, steep flight of stairs, over a'a or pahoehoe lava fields, through mud, over or under fences to your chosen site:)
  10. Where's the best place to set up a water slide?  A relatively level yard with dirt and grass coverage.  Grounds should not have exposed rocks, debris, or animal waste in close proximity to the chosen site.  No gravel or cinders and please,  check  ground conditions BEFORE securing your reservations.
  11. How much room do you need to bring the water slides in?  We prefer driving onto the lawn and rolling the unit(s) off the trailer, but if it's not possible, the Rainbow and Slip & Slide can be hand trucked through a walk thru gate. The Tsunami Slide requirement is to drive truck & trailer directly on the lawn and rolled off.
  12. How would I know if the area is large enough?  Call us for the specs and measure the area with a tape measure.
  13. Do you service island wide?  In the past, our services extended island wide and as much as we would love to continue, we have recently limited our services to the Hilo area due to multiple party demands.  Please call Kehau with Fun to Jump and Party World located in Kona for all your inflatable needs and party goods @ 327-9427 or visit their web site: www.funtojumpkona.com
  14. Any additional travel fee?  Yes, with the rising gas prices, additional service charges are added to cost of the rental.  Our free of charge destinations starts from Kaumana to Kaloli Drive (HPP), to Kurtistown and to Pepe'ekeo. Please call for service charges beyond the areas listed. Please note, NO "way out in the boonies" or rough ungraded four wheelin' kind of roads.
  15. How do I reserve an inflatable from you?  First step is availability.  Call Arlene @896-4445 or click on to the "Contact Us" page of this web site and fill-in the necessary information.  Arlene will either contact you via email or by phone and at that time if openings for your chosen date and inflatable ride is available, we can then proceed to book your fun event.
  16. Do you accept purchase orders?  Yes.  Please submit your request for a purchase order in advance so that payment is readily available on the day of your event.
  17. Do you require a deposit?  Yes.  A $50 non-refundable hold fee as a good faith deposit which is applied to the rental cost is required.  A check by mail must be received within 4 business days.  A non-receivable payment within the given period is considered canceled and given to another client.  We apologize for being abrupt, but the reason is to deter last minute cancellation when other clients were turned away due to unavailability.
  18. What if I am unable to put down the deposit in time?  Don't delay, call Arlene to arrange a payment plan.  We understand funds may not be available and we really want to help you make your child's party a bouncing success!
  19. When is the balance due?  You have the option of paying the remaining balance before or on the day of your party, it's up to you but it is expected before the scheduled start time.  Please note, we accept only cash payment if you do decide to pay the balance on the day of your party.
  20. What if it rains?  "Hilo's such a rainy 'ole town, just listen to the rain come down".....our weather is so unpredictable.  In case of a bouncer rental, we'll call you, preferably when you are on-site to confirm weather conditions.  If the sun is out, not a problem, we'll be there!  If it's raining, consider it an automatic cancellation and we'll return your $50 deposit or reschedule for another time.  But, if it's  "...well... it's kindah cloudy, but looks like it may clear up and... I really want to go ahead with the rental."  That's fine too, but remember if it rains upon our arrival, we will not setup and you will forfeit your $50 deposit OR if we've already setup and it rains continually to the point that it will not stop, we reserve the right to breakdown and you will forfeit the entire rental cost.
  21. Why can't the kids jump in the rain or wet clothing?  SAFETY!   It is dangerous jumping and bouncing on wet vinyl surface with a group of kids slippin' & colliding into each other!  And, a wet dirty bouncer takes much longer to clean and dry-out completely vs. cleaning a dry bouncer rental.  Please read the rental agreement for any additional cleaning costs and/or repair costs.
  22. Are there any forms to sign?  Yes, a Rental Agreement, Assumption of Risks and Liability Release form AND the Safety Rules mandated by our insurance company must be read, understood and signed by the lessee.
  23. How will the kids know the Safety Rules?  Before starting, the lessee or an appointed adult will group all riders to review the rules provided. This approach of communicating safety awareness to all riders does make a difference.  Please take it seriously.
  24. Do you enforce any kind of "time-out?"  Absolutely.  Our attendant will  "time-out" or remove a warned rider who continues to pay no attention and/or potentially puts himself and/or other children in a unsafe or dangerous situation.
  25. How long is your rental period?  Our standard rental time is 3 hours although a 2 hour request is uncommon due to additional party activities such as kaukau time, games, happy birthday singing & cutting of cake, pinata bashing, opening of gifts, time to go back to class or what ever it may be.
  26. How long does it take to setup?  Bouncers/Castle: 15 mins, Water Slides: 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
  27. Who supplies the electricity?  You do.  One dedicated standard electrical outlet per one blower is required within 75 feet.  We supply the extension cords.
  28. What if electric power is not available?  A 3500 watts or higher gas powered generator is required to power one blower.  We also have generators to rent for an additional $35.
  29. Who supplies the water?  You do.  Fairly strong water pressure is needed to provide water to fill the pool and feed the overhead sprinklers for the duration of the rental time.  For multiple water slide rentals, please check for additional water spigots for best performance.  We supply the water hose.
  30. Are we able to rent a slide if we're on water catchment?  It all depends on your water system.  Is it able to provide clean and relatively strong pressure to fill the 400 gallon pool and provide continuous flow to feed the sprinklers?  If your answer is yes, so is ours.
  31. Do you setup if it's windy?  No.  It is very dangerous to be on any inflatable with high winds exceeding 20-25 MPH!  Think of it as a gigantic balloon...what happens to a balloon when the wind gets a hold of it?  Yep, it flies away and sometimes up, up, up and away.  True story...not long ago at a beach on the island of Oahu kids were in a jumping castle when all of a sudden a strong gust of wind blew inshore and literally uplifted the castle several feet in the air and out into the ocean!!  Luckily, bystanders rushed out and rescued the children unharmed.
  32. HAVE FUN!  Inflatables are impressive, colorful, exciting and fun!  Your party will be the center of attention when it is blown up so enjoy it and take lots of pictures of your children having the time of their lives as they will always remember it and so will you.
